One was a simple task of collecting, transporting, core drilling the paving for threaded dowels and resin fixing the bronze statues in place.
The other, was a different story, it involved various elements, with some, much appreciated help from R G Falla, with storage, carpentry and general lifting with either staff or the forklift. We achieved, what the Artist Mark Cook envisaged, with a reclaimed old Guernsey granite Harbour block. The block was in fact a landing stage, it was removed from the harbour in the 80’s during the North Beach Marina project.
The granite block was cut to size and re worked to provide the main granite bench. The Iroka wooden slats were cut to size and routed by Adi Sarre; Lyndon managed the whole process and actually did a lot of the work, with the final installation being completed with the help of our random stonemasons and under the guidance of Mark Cook for positioning.
