A memorial bench has been installed at Jerbourg Headland. With no vehicle access to the installation position, the team had to drive through two fields to get as close as possible, then load all the materials, tools and bench legs onto a specialised trolley which is capable of carrying 500kg. This was then followed by a second trip with the bench seat, which weighed 211kg.
They had to navigate a narrow footpath through a wide scrub area, just wide enough to accommodate the trolley, followed by a trek along the cliff path. No mean feat!
