Natwest Jersey gets a facelift1

Granite Le Pelley has been awarded the contract for the cleaning & restoration of the Natwest Library Place stone façade by sister company AFM.

Part of the work comprises of replacing the deteriorated limestone and pre-cast concrete feature with new Portland limestone and bespoke pre-cast elements.

The first stage of the operation consists of making copies of the existing carved elements by producing silicone moulds. This permits the production full size precast to serve as a template. These are then sent to the UK to give the bank’s stonemasons a model to follow.

The new white precast elements will be produced in Jersey by the GLP team.
